39 unique dog tags =)
I think i may have briefly been on a server where the damage was set higher... I know there was no kill cam and no radar.
|
Yeah I believe those are the trademarks of a hardcore server. |

fuck young people.
Some thread somewhere people were dismissing the concept of prone in bfbc2... with stuff like "go play another game its not in bc2" etc etc....
battlefield practically invented fucking prone as far as games are concerned, long time players have a right to be confused.
sorry to be bitchy but I have a throat that feels like a grenade went off in it... and I cant stand 17 year old "uber" males who were born in the fucking NINETIES, who I could throttle with two pinkies while drinking a beer.
ahhh thats better.... 59ish unique dog tags now ^^ knifing a whole squad is fun.
oh and I read somewhere its possible to just have certain aspects of HC on a server, like high damage, and no cam, but still have a map... So i guess its all just in the settings. |

lol been a while since we've had a Splaet rant! In fact...it's been a while since anyone has gone on a rant around here!
Nice to see the forums starting to become more active again. I think we just had a bit of a game 'drought' for a while.
Anxiously awaiting the new MOH in October... |

I miss going prone a little, but if I'm given the option between not having prone or having people jump and pancake all over the place to avoid being hit, I'll take no prone.
As to the game itself, in the Beta I was disappointed by not having a spec ops class. There was no way to get C4 without playing as a sniper. But I like the versatility that the guns that are available across all classes provides. You can select a Thomson as either Assault or Recon and get a load out that gives you an MG and C4.
So far the thing I love most is the balance between vehicles and infantry. In BF2 there were lots of maps where you were useless if you didn't have your hands on some sort of vehicle. That seems to be much less the case on BC2.
Just wish I had more time to play right now. Splaet was already lvl 11 last night, and I'm a measly lvl 2. I'm still pissed that the level from the Beta didn't carry over. I could have sworn I read that it was going to.
We need some more peeps to get this game. I know Scott is planning on upgrading his PC to run it, but he's on the freaking West Coast now, so he's like a new JC that hops on at 10:30 and wonders why everyone's leaving. |

It continually astounds me how people let companies get away without putting out unfinished games.... is there any other industry where they mass sell a product, and say 'Don't worry, we are fixing it next month'?
Autobalance is becoming a big problem. All the servers have it on, but it apparently doesnt work. Unless there are admins around you usualy end up with +5 or so advantage to one team(of course on 32 player servers). Its getting really annoying, cause only like 1/10 servers are any kind of admin'd. I really wish it would work on my hd monitor too. |

A lot of software companies are like that.
Do you think the MP will stay fresh for a long time like MOHAA or go stale like COD4 and BF2? If you'll think its worthy of 50 dollars I'll go buy the game. |

I can't answer that, I played bf2 for years till the server I liked disappeared, and I played cod4 last week... I never played world at war or mw2 though. I don't think MOHAA was in its prime that much longer then either of those games... CS on the other hand... well that game is an aberration.
I guess it's mostly just personal perspective.
ps- works on my HD tv now... theres alot you can fix in settings.ini
pps- 104 unique dogtags =) |

Actually I have more kills with my knife then any specific weapon =)
150+ unique dogtags... for those who don't know you get a dog tag when you knife someone, and it keeps track of total, and of unique dogtags. So i've knifed over 150 individuals... which is pretty cool =) |

| Really wish some of you other losers would pick this game up. This game is great on its own, but when you get a good squad together that is communicating it's freaking fantastic. |

| Excellent. BTW, playing with Splaet is hilarious. He spends the whole time bitching at everyone for sucking. Which is completely deserved, but still hilarious. |

| my only real bitch about this game is the people who play it. sniper isn't the only kit to use, and how the F are you supposed to attack a m-com with 15 snipers and me and my med kit? it'll be nice to run with a small bit of organization..... |
